Income tax filing deadlines
Don't wait until the last minute to start prepping your financials for tax filing. Consider this your official filing cheatsheet.
Self-employed Individuals: Solo & Partnerships
The 2024 tax-filing deadline is April 30, 2024 for individuals and June 17, 2024 for the self-employed.
The Canada Revenue Agency usually expects individual taxpayers to submit their income tax returns by April 30 of every year. If April 30 falls on a weekend, the CRA extends the deadline to the following business day.
Corporation
File your return within six months of the end of each tax year. The tax year of a corporation is its fiscal period. When the corporation's tax year ends on the last day of a month, file the return by the last day of the sixth month after the end of the tax year.
When the last day of the tax year is not the last day of a month, file the return by the same day of the sixth month after the end of the tax year.
